Exclusive to Brewers Hardware, this hose barb fitting has a full 1/2" bore. The OD of the barb is .625" and typical silicone or vinyl tubing will press right over it. Every other 1/2" barb fitting I was able to find only had a .375 to .400 ID resulting at a restriction at your hose connection (including our standard 1/2" hose barb). This is especially helpful on the inlet side of a March pump to help reduce pump cavitation. Frustrated with the other options on the market, I had these barbs made just for the home brewing market.
