Silicone offers a wide temperature operating range while maintaining flexibility.  Ideal for high temperature locations such as where a connection will exist in the heat wash of a burner.  Softer than the PTFE Teflon Tri Clover Compatible gasket, this silicone tri clover gasket is is easier to keep a drip free seal across a wider temperature range.  If your application requires the roatation of the two parts, use the Teflon gasket.
