OK, You're a brewer and even though a complete stir plate is a great price you already have a case or you already tried to make one and it didn't quite work or you just want to do it yourself... No problem! With these new circuit boards I can finally offer a DIY Stir Plate speed control. This kit includes all the parts to make the speed control circuit. You'll need to supply a case, ~ 12V fan, drive magnets, power supply and stir bar. See the instruction sheet here before ordering.

The input requires a DC power supply with a 2.5mm X 5.5mm center positive DC coax plug.  The output voltage is dependent on the input voltage and there is a high-end adjust.

    This is a great product and isn't very difficult to assemble. It should be mentioned that the switch has a dual function; NO mode and NC mode. The instructions didn't indicate this and I soldered this switch in the opposite orientation. This means I could only operate the stir plate when I held the switch with my finger. To solve this, I bridged the NO and NC connection with some wire and now it works perfectly. Avoid some frustration and pay attention to how you place the switch on the circuit board.
