Silicone offers a wide temperature operating range while maintaining flexibility.  Ideal for high temperature locations such as where a connection will exist in the heat wash of a burner.  Softer than the PTFE Teflon tri clover gasket, this silicone tri clover gasket is is easier to keep a drip free seal across a wider temperature range.  If your application requires the roatation of the two parts, use the Teflon gasket. Does NOT work against a keg ferrule, use a silicone O-ring or shave the ridge off one side of this gasket.
