Just purchased 8 of these and they now all have >12" leads as shown in the picture. The ones I just received have 19-20" leads. Previously (circa 2017) I purchased 5 and they had 3" in length as mentioned in other reviews. All are good quality connectors for much cheaper than found elsewhere. 5 stars.

The M12 panel mount connectors I received as part of a larger order have 3" long leads, rather than the 12" leads pictured and described. This a very short length to work with and limits the panel and internal component layouts. I will likely need to solder extensions to the leads in order to use them.

The supplier has changed the leads to smaller ones (3 inches) and has also changed the color of the wires. Use Black and White with the BCS. The red wire is not used. As DG said, you will need to solder a wire if the BCS is in the same enclosure or make your leads longer if coming from another location. I have a small enclosure (6' x 5') that I have the panel mount mounted in and run ethernet cable to that from the BCS.
